Armando Diaz is a theater director and teacher, and a professional actor from Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater Performance from New World School of the Arts in 2012. Diaz originally began acting in 2003 in MCT’s production of Grease and Little Women. After his university and conservatory education, Diaz spent a decade working in the film and theater industry. He has had roles in many plays since then, both educationally and professionally, such as the part of Lockwood in History Boys, Ward in The Wager, King Tyndareus in Orestes, and John Barrymore in I Hate Hamlet, to name a few. He’s also toured Florida with Fantasy Theater Factory and has appeared in commercials for companies such as Botran and AutoNation Chevrolet, as well as a speaking role in television’s Caso Cerrado and festival independent filma such as “The Haunting” by the Nunez Brothers. Diaz spent a decade working in the film and theater industry. The knowledge acquired from his studies and my time as a professional actor, a working playwright and the myriad of industry-related positions have culminated into a very specific task: to share, explore and master acting and theater. In 2018, Mr. Diaz took over as the Theater Director or troupe 6782 and as a theater and acting teacher at Mater Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy in Hialeah Gardens.
