LionStage Officers
Tatiana Calzadilla
President
Tatiana Calzadilla is a professional actor and singer based in Miami, Florida. She is a senior at Mater Performing Arts and Entertainment Academy and will be graduating with an Associates in Arts degree from both Miami Dade College and Doral College. Tatiana began acting in 2021 when she was granted the opportunity to play Nina Rosario in In the Heights, and from there she knew that theater was her passion. She continued to pursue a career in theater and played Liz and Roxie Hart (U/S) in Chicago: High School Edition and Liz, Mira Zadal, and Kate Siv in Museum. She brings in top scores every year at the District 8 Thespian Festival and the Florida State Thespian Festival. She also appeared in a short film titled Milkshakes by Natalia Suarez (Mater Performing Arts Alumni) that was a semi-finalist in the Paris International Short Festival, the Rio de Janeiro World Film Festival, and the Santa Cruz Independent Film Festival. Aside from her pursuits in theater, she also sings professionally at Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association events around the country and even writes her own songs that are soon to be released in her first EP. She hopes to study Theater Performance at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She is beyond ecstatic to be LionStage Drama's President for the 2023–24 school year.
Milenie Morejon
President
Milenie Morejon is currently a high school student and in eleventh grade. Mile originally started acting in the fall of 2021 in a play called “15 Reasons Not To Be In A Play” and continued acting for a few more months in small performance like winter shows and most recently (2023) in District 8 Florida competitions earning a superior and moving on to states but later in to the year during our version of the musical “In the heights” she stared to fall in love with the more technical side of theater such as lighting, sound, and stage management. And so the following year in 2022 when our troupe director Mr. Diaz needed someone for tech she stepped up and has since run tech for the play “Museum” and has staged managed and ran tech for the musical “Chicago”. She has also run almost all of the school events such as, dance shows, induction ceremonies, band concerts, lip sync battle, honor roll ceremonies, elementary school visits, and so much more. In the future, she hopes to study this newly found love for technical theater in college but she will also step out of her comfort zone and act once in a while.
Lauren Garcia
Vice President
Lauren Garcia is a sophomore student at Mater Academy Charter and a vice president in the Lion Stage Thespians club. She has been a part of the club for four years and a part of multiple performances. These include working both the props and costume department in the plays and musicals, “15 Reasons Not To Be In A Play”, “In the Heights” the musical, and “Chicago” the musical. She has also had some experience being a stage manager for the play “Museum”. Today Lauren is continuing to be a part of the thespian club and is looking forward to being a part of all new productions.
Yesenia Rayo-Montoya

Yesenia Rayo-Montoya is a senior at Mater Performing Arts Academy and loves theater and music. She hopes to become a better performer and have fun while doing so. She started taking theater classes in 9th grade and joined the Lionstage Drama Club in 10th. In those years she was in the productions of 15 Reasons Not To Be In A Play, In the Heights, Museum and Chicago. She is excited to see what her future in theater will be and happy to be helping with this amazing club.
Angelina Hall

Angelina Hall is a member and actor within the theater community at her school. She began her journey with a role in the play "Museum" and has since earned roles in various productions, including the esteemed part of Lipschitz in "Chicago". In addition to her onstage work, she expresses her theatrical creativity by producing captivating content on social media platforms like YouTube. Recently, Angelina has been appointed as a Content Moderator and webmaster for the theater at Mater Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy in Hialeah Gardens, a role that showcases her commitment and passion for the theatrical arts. She is eager to explore new opportunities and continue her pursuit of excellence in the Theater industry.
Jaime Salgado
Officer
Jaime Salgado is an aspiring professional actor and High School student from Miami, Florida. He has played many roles for plays, musicals, and scenes such as: Mr. Salt in “Museum”, “15 Reasons Not To Be In A Play”, and playing a lead role in the following, Fred Casely in “Chicago” (High School Version), and John Proctor in “The Crucible”. He has participated in all of these plays educationally, all being played at Mater Academy Charter Middle/High. Salgado has also represented troupe 6782 proudly at Competition. His first ever Competition Piece was the final scene from The Crucible, playing the lead role of John Proctor. Salgado still to this day pursues a higher education in the arts. Studying theater at the widely known, New World School of The Arts is his main goal at hand presently.
Gabriela Alfonso
Officer
Gabriela Alfonso is currently a junior at Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School. She takes theater classes at her school and wishes to continue this career to earn her bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Gabriela began acting in the high school play Museum in 2022. She has had other roles since then, such as June (understudy), Mr. Harrison, and part of the ensemble in Chicago The Musical: High School Edition. She wishes to compete for next year’s district competition for Troupe 6782. In the future, she will take on a professional career as an actress in musical theater and screen acting. Gabriela is very excited for her future as she will overcome any obstacle to achieve her dream.
Melanie Guzman

Melanie Guzman has been a student at Mater Academy Middle School since the 6th grade. She is in 9th grade. Melanie has been taking theater class at Mater since 7th grade with Mr.Diaz. She has played Will Willard in the fall play Museum by Tina Howe. She used to do professional theater when she was younger. Melanie also took a few acting classes before entering Mater. Melanie will proudly be a Lionstage officer for the 2023–2024 school year. She is more than thrilled to be involved in the performing arts and work alongside the amazing, talented people who are also part of it.
